Ariana Grande rejects Catholicism

Ariana Grande turned to Kabbalah after rejecting Catholicism for the church's views on homosexuality.

The singer's brother, Frankie, is gay and the 21-year-old became disparaged about the church's attitude towards her sibling's lifestyle.

"When my brother was told that God didn't love him I was like, 'OK, that's not cool,' she told the Sunday Telegraph magazine,

"They were building a Kabbalah center in Florida so we both checked it out and really had a connection with it."

After turning to her new religion, Grande said her life has led her down a path she never expected.

"Since then, my life has unfolded in a really beautiful way, and I think that it has a lot to do with the tools I've learned through Kabbalah, I really do," she said.

"You have to watch your intentions, make sure you're not giving in to your ego. You have to numb your reactive state. You have the power to change your reality."

Kabbalah, an offshoot of Judaism, is also practised by celebrities like Madonna, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore.
