Beckham gushes about Queen meeting
English soccer star *David Beckham *'s proudest moment came when he met the *Queen *.
The retired sportsman, below, played in three World Cups, holds the record for the most number of appearances for his country and has rubbed shoulders with world leaders during his illustrious career. But the patriotic Brit insisted nothing came close to meeting the monarch.
"She's the most amazing woman," he said. "I'm a real royalist. The fact that I've been able to go to Buckingham Palace and I've been able to meet the Queen, that's the best thing I've ever done."
