Lorde teams up with Chemical Bros

Lorde has dropped another song from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack with dance duo, The Chemical brothers and singer Miguel.

The collaboration has resulted in a much darker sound for the Kiwi singer on the track, This Is Not A Game.

While Miguel sings most of the song, Lorde's distinctive vocals can be heard singing the repeated line "There it is" over a Chemical Brother's dance track.

It's a very different sound for the 17-year-old singer, deviating from her gothic ballads - the underlying dance track gives the song more of a kick.

The singer, who is curating the soundtrack to the third instalment of the movie trilogy, released another song for the film, Yellow Flicker Beat, last month.

That song was pure Lorde - a slow, gothic ballad with a message of strength and female empowerment.

Lorde has been nominated for four American Music Awards and revealed she would be at the ceremony next month in LA, should she take home any of the awards.

She is up for the coveted Artist of the Year gong, as is fellow Antipodean Iggy Azalea.
