Kim's clan heading west

It appears Kanye West's coming Australian tour is going to be a family affair.

The rapper is set to kick off the Australian leg of his acclaimed Yeezus world tour at Perth Arena on Friday before travelling to other capital cities around the nation.

West was pictured preparing to jet out of LAX yesterday morning (WA time), where he boarded a plane bound for London for the GQ Men Of The Year Awards en route to Australia.

But he was not alone - the 37-year-old was accompanied by wife Kim Kardashian and 14-month-old daughter North as he made his way through the Los Angeles terminal.

West dressed down in cuffed track pants and a sweater, while reality star Kardashian also kept things casual in a striped shirt and ripped white jeans paired with her trademark necklace reading "Nori", her daughter's nickname.

North was dressed in coordinating striped pants, a small studded bag and tiny Dr Martens boots.

While it was widely speculated that Kardashian, 33, would accompany her husband for part of the tour, she was expected to join West later on to coincide with an in-store appearance at Westfield Parramatta on September 13, where she will launch her fashion label's spring range.

However, it now seems that Kardashian may be supporting West through the full schedule and could touch down in Perth as early as tonight.

The visit to Australia will be North's first trip Down Under but the tot has already racked up plenty of stamps in her passport with trips throughout Europe and the US under her belt.

Kardashian herself first came to Australia when late Perth designer Ruth Tarvydas brought her and sister Khloe to Sydney for her showing at Australian Fashion Week in 2008.

The sisters sat next to Lara Bingle in the front row and Kardashian wrote about the experience on her website.

"Ruth dressed us as we also had the opportunity to go backstage and meet all of the models and the designer herself," she posted.

"I find her designs to be glamorous and very sexy."

West was first set to tour Australia earlier this year but postponed the dates until after their wedding in Florence on May 24.

The visit to Australia will be toddler North's first trip Down Under.
