Britney Spears is looking forward dating again.

The 32-year-old singer admitted during her show at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas yesterday, WA time, that she's excited about meeting someone new following her split from David Lucado.

"The best thing about your boyfriend cheating on you is that you get to go on another first date," Spears told the audience between songs.

The blonde announced on Twitter last week that she'd dumped Lucado, whom she started dating in March 2013, after video footage of him kissing and cuddling up to an unidentified woman emerged.

Spears' father Jamie - who has controlled the singer's personal and professional affairs since her breakdown in 2008 - has reportedly banned Lucado from being able to see or speak to her following the alleged infidelity.

A source said previously: "David won't be getting through because he's persona non grata at her show in Las Vegas, at her home in Thousand Oaks, California and his phone number's been blocked."

Jamie allegedly forked out a "substantial amount" for the clip of Lucado canoodling with another woman in order to prevent the footage from being leaked publicly.

It is not known whether another copy of the video has been made but Jamie will allegedly sue for copyright infringement if anyone posts or publishes the clip.
