Cosmo coup for WA designers
Another day, another major coup for Perth-based label Zhivago.
Last week we shared the news that E! News personality Giuliana Rancic chose to wear the edgy brand in a new British magazine photo shoot.
And now WA design duo Lara Kovacevic and Lydia Tsvetnenko are celebrating a victory a little closer to home, with model Jessica Hart pictured in one of their creations on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine.
The Victoria's Secret stunner is seen grinning in the label's glittering green Highborn jumpsuit as she fronts the Aussie mag's October issue, which is on sale on Monday.
It is the same piece worn by Samantha Jade to the ARIAs and is similar to a suit worn by Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kendall Jenner when she hosted an awards show in Canada earlier this year.
Kovacevic was thrilled to see the cover when it was unveiled yesterday.
"We grew up reading Cosmo, so to see our design on the cover, especially on Jess Hart, is a dream come true," she said.
The designers' directional garments have also been picked up by online mega-retailer The Iconic, which will start stocking the brand from Monday.
Zhivago will close the Perth Fashion Festival on September 22 at the Perth Concert Hall in a show supported by The West Australian.
