Pitbull and Ke$ha's Australian tour has been cancelled just weeks before it is due to begin, according to its promoter.
"Dainty Group regret to advise the cancellation of the 2013 Pitbull and Ke$ha Australian tour," said a statement on the promoter's website.
They gave no reason for the announcement.
Both artists hope to return to Australia in the not too distant future," the statement said.
The double-act, who spent the northern summer touring the US, were due to play a show in Brisbane on October 30, and shows in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney in early November.
US rapper Pitbull also confirmed the announcement via a short and simple tweet that offered nothing more in the way of explanation."The promoter is cancelling the Australian Tour, refunds will be available at point of purchase. We hope to return to Australia soon. Thanks."
