Rockingham sisters Katie and Lucy Mercer entered the Big Brother compound as one housemate and they have now left closer than ever.
Known as the Sugar Sisters on the Nine reality show, the buxom blondes' joined-at-the-hip relationship in real life carried over into the house, where they were considered a single team for voting purposes and were required to dress the same, nominate in unison and never be more than 3m apart.
Spending every waking hour with a sibling may seem like a nightmare to many but Katie, 23, and Lucy, 21, loved every moment.
"The way we have been brought up by our parents means we have always done everything together," Lucy told AAA following the sisters' elimination on Wednesday night.
"Obviously sharing this once- in-a-lifetime experience has brought us even closer together."
Katie added: "On the outside, we spent all our time together anyway, so the 3m rule didn't bother us at all."
The rule also didn't prevent single Lucy from getting to know her male counterparts, with the student teacher captured on camera locking lips with the now-evicted Caleb Geppert and fan-favourite Tim Dormer.
The girls also were known for their positive attitude and glass-half-full approach while in the Big Brother house and, although this helped them make fast friends with many of their co-stars, their bubbly demeanour still managed to frustrate fellow housemate Tahan Lew-Fatt.
Responding to Lew-Fatt's frequent comments about the sisters being "dumb", Katie said she held no hard feelings.
"We are just different people," the nurse explained.
"We don't hold a grudge at all, we'd love to catch up with her on the outside just as much as we'd love to catch up with everybody else. Everyone was an individual in there."
The proud *WA *sisters will head back to Perth next week to be reunited with their family and Katie's boyfriend while they ponder their next move forward.
Lucy said she would not rule out the possibility of future experiences in the spotlight."We are open to anything and everything, so we will see what happens from here," she said.
