She's a self-confessed jeans and T-shirt kind of girl at heart but Edwina Bartholomew has embraced all the sequins and glitter that come with her new role as co-host of Dancing with the Stars.
The Sunrise weather presenter, left, was this week announced as long-time host Daniel MacPherson's sidekick on the Seven show, replacing Mel B after her controversial clash with the network earlier this year.
With Bartholomew's gig on Sunrise taking her all around the country and placing her in some extreme situations, the bubbly blonde told Access All Areas donning a gown and stilettos for Dancing was far away from her normal day.
"These are the kind of dresses that most girls only get to wear once in their life when they get married," she said.
"To be able to wear 10 different dresses like this is out of this world, it's like a giant movie shopping montage.
"I must admit that it's taken me awhile to come around to sequins but now I am fully into it."
The 30-year-old will be very involved with choosing her on-screen wardrobe and plans to focus on fresh up-and-coming designers and unusual combinations to keep viewers guessing.
A big fan of the show from past seasons - she used to have Dancing with the Stars viewing parties at home with friends - Bartholomew is also looking forward to building a rapport with her new comrade, MacPherson.
"He's smoking, isn't he?" she laughed. "My boyfriend is not as excited but I am very excited about working with Dan. We have a similar sense of humour so I think it's going to be a bit cheeky and a lot of fun."
One thing that is going to be a challenge for Bartholomew is adding more work to her already hectic schedule.
There will be days where she has to get up at 4am and won't finish work until midnight.
She is also set to juggle covering the Spring Racing Carnival for Seven in the coming months.
"I think I will just work through it day to day," Bartholomew said of her coping strategy.
"I gave up coffee recently so it's not like I can get by on caffeine.
"I will have to get by on vitamins and exercise instead."
Dancing with the Stars season 13 begins tomorrow at 7.30pm on Seven/GWN7.
