P. Diddy has rubbished claims he got into a heated argument with J. Cole at his MTV Video Music Awards after-party.
The rapper - whose real name is Sean Combs - took to Twitter to quash accusations of a verbal altercation, which reportedly escalated into a shoving match with the fellow rapper at the star-studded bash, which Diddy was co-hosting with Jay-Z, at PH-D in New York City on Sunday night.
"I usually don't address rumors but I got too much respect for my bro @JColeNC. We are friends The rumors are not true. We had a great party (sic)," Diddy tweeted.
Initial reports suggested that Diddy, 43, and Cole got embroiled in a row at around 3am after the 28-year-old hit on his girlfriend Cassie, 27.
"J. Cole was saying inappropriate things to Sean Combs and his girlfriend, Cassie. Sean immediately pounced," a source said. "Some pushing and shoving happened. No punches were thrown, but it was a visible disturbance. A few bottles splashed to the floor and some party goers were knocked over, falling on top of Renee Graziano from 'Mob Wives'. "
Jay Z's wife Beyonce was allegedly caught up in the fracas in an attempt to break it up.
"It was mayhem," another source added. "Beyoncé was yelling to stop and Jay Z was separating people and getting people away from Bey."Other guests at the A-List event included Rihanna, Rita Ora and Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel.
