WA-born star Emma Booth has joined the list of young Aussies who have scored big roles in the busy US TV pilot season.
The Busselton-raised former model and actress has been cast in US network ABC's drama pilot Gothica, one of the year's most talked about new pilots, alongside fellow Aussie, former Home and Away actor Chris Egan.
Set in the present day, the show will reportedly weave together a mythology that incorporates the legends of Dracula, Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstein and Dorian Gray, to be played by Egan.
It will revolve around journalist Grace Van Helsing (Janet Montgomery) who takes over her family's hometown newspaper. Booth will play Victor Frankenstein's (Tom Ellis) wife, Madeline Usher.
It marks the second big US role for Booth, who recently starred alongside Jason Statham, Jennifer Lopez and Nick Nolte in action flick Parker. And while Parker didn't set the box office alight, it has certainly helped Booth's profile to rise in Hollywood.
