Kiss will play two songs on the season premiere of The Footy Show on March 7, their only Australian television performance.

Kiss will perform the songs live when the rugby league show returns this Thursday for its 20th season.

"What an amazing way to kick off our 20th year, with one of the biggest rock bands in the world live in the studio," The Footy Show's executive producer, Glenn Pallister, said.

"(Footy show host) Fatty (Paul Vautin) is such a Kiss tragic we may need to have oxygen on standby."

Kiss are touring Australia with Motley Crue and Thin Lizzy. The tour started last week in Perth.
