Craig David has announced his first Australian tour in a decade, but Perth fans are set to miss out.
The Born To Do It star will play all his Australian shows on the east coast with shows planned for the Gold Coast Convention & Entertainment Centre on March 27, Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre (March 28) and Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (March 30).
Seen as a pioneer in the UK garage scene, David toured in 2003 on the back of his second album Slicker Than Your Average, although he visited two years ago to spruik a covers album Signed Sealed Delivered.
His career accolades include three Ivor Novellos with the awards for Songwriter Of The Year and Best Contemporary Song and 13 No.1 singles spanning Fill Me In, 7 Days, Walking Away, What’s Your Flava and Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance).
The Re-Rewind singer has also forged a successful DJ career, including a weekly slot on UK station Kiss FM, and has an album with the working title Following My Intuition due out this year.Tickets for Craig David on tour go on sale from January 31.
