It's just a week until Seven launches the fourth season of its reality cooking hit My Kitchen Rules, but that hasn't stopped one of its star judges from hitting the headlines.
A red-faced Manu Feildel was sent packing yesterday after a Sydney reporter and photographer from The Sunday Telegraph stopped the French chef as he was driving through the eastern suburbs - without his L-Plates and a supervising driver.
Video of the incident shows a clearly embarrassed Feildel mouthing "shhh" to the reporter before he hastily gets out of his car to catch a taxi home.
Just 10 minutes earlier, he was on a driving lesson with a female friend.
He said it was a silly move and he took full responsibility for his actions.
Feildel has previously spoken of how he has been intending on getting his Australian driver's licence for a few years, but if charged over the incident he could face a three-month suspension of his Learner's permit.
Seven's hit cooking show, My Kitchen Rules, returns to screens next Monday.
