N *icole "Coco" Austin *knows better than most that being in the spotlight has its ups and downs.
And when it comes to having your own reality TV show, particularly one that homes in on your personal life - in Coco's case, her show Ice Loves Coco, which centres on her marriage with rapper-turned-actor *Ice T *- everything you once kept private is put on the line and is bound to be scrutinised.
But Coco, right with Ice T, doesn't let the negativity get to her and was even quick to rubbish reports that her marriage is on the rocks following a steamy photo scandal that unfolded last month, where she was snapped cosying up to rapper *AP.9 *.
"All that stuff is rubbish, don't believe what you read on those blogs, those websites and stuff," she told _Access All Areas _by phone from Las Vegas this week.
"Ice and I celebrated our 12th anniversary, and that is old news. We're going strong. We're stronger than we've ever been.
"I've kind of dealt with being hated on ever since that picture (scandal) and it doesn't faze me. Ice and I are really strong and we know what we are as a couple and our bond, people can never break that."
Along with the media scrutiny, Coco - who moves between New York, LA and Las Vegas - has also had her fair share of dealings with the paparazzi since the show launched in 2011.
But surprisingly, being trailed by nosy photographers doesn't bother the 33-year-old.
"I get up every morning and I dress up, I put my heels on and I'm like 'I'm looking good, so if you take that shot, I'm looking good'," she giggled.
"One thing about Vegas that I've found is that they're really good about paparazzi. If you go to LA, it's like, oh my God, they're on every corner, they're waiting for you . . . same as if you were in Florida. In New York, you know, it's not so bad, but Vegas they kind of keep it toned down. Of course they're out and about - they do their little hide-in-the- bushes trick and all that."
Though she tries to avoid venturing out in public, attending to her fans is another story.
"I very rarely turn down (my fans)," she said. "But when I'm walking around among all these people I try not to make eye contact because once you make eye contact . . . they want your picture and you have to take pictures with everybody."
Summing up the show's third season - which premiered on Foxtel's E! channel last month - the busty blonde described it as the most fun she's ever had.
"This season is my favourite so far, we just did so many fun things," she said. "I mean everything I could possibly dream of and wanted to do in my life, I did it in this season.
"Of course hurricane Sandy comes through (New York), you see me do my first fashion show with my fashion line and also one of my dreams is to be a meteorologist, so I try that . . . there's also the unravelling story of how I got my biggest gig, Peep Show."
