Ricky Martin will reportedly be heading to Australia to be the new coach on The Voice, replacing Keith Urban.
The Livin’ La Vida Loca star is expected to be announced on tonight’s A Current Affair.
But Martin has already tweeted about the lucrative new role, writing: “Sending some mad love to everyone in #Australia! Cant wait to go back! Peace!”
It is not known yet whether Martin will travel to Australia with his sons, Matteo and Valentino, now four.
Urban defected from the show to appear on the new series of American Idol alongside Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.After the success of this year’s The Voice, which was Australia’s number one TV show this year, series two will have ten extra screening hours requiring an extra month’s time from each of the coaches which also includes Delta Goodrem, Seal and Joel Madden.
