The line-up for Perth Arena's first event have been revealed.
AEG Ogden released the line-up for Plug Into Perth, the venue’s free community music event, today.
Hip-hop artist Drapht, whose 2011 album Life of Riley debuted at the top of the ARIA charts, will headline the event. Sugar Army and Split Seconds, both on Triple J high rotation and winners of numerous WAM awards, will support.
Interim General Manager Steve Hevern said Plug Into Perth was a unique opportunity for local music artists to sound-check the venue.
Plug Into Perth is the first of two free community events for Perth Arena, the second event being Access All Areas on November 4.
This event will allow participants to explore backstage dressing rooms and stand on stage at the venue.
Sir Elton John and his band will open Perth Arena on November 10, followed by Matchbox Twenty, INXS and Evermore, the Perth Wildcats' first game, Mike Tyson's 'Day of Champions', The Wiggles, Russell Brand, Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj.
In 2013 Perth Arena will host Weezer, Celtic Thunder, The Script, Pink and One Direction.
