Contemporary instrumentalist Yanni will bring his world tour to Perth Arena on January 27 next year – performing in Australia for the first time since 1995.
A 15-piece orchestra will accompany the self-taught Greek musician born Yiannis Hryssomallis as he plays favourites from throughout his career and selections from his latest album, Truth of Touch, released last year.
With his 1993 album Live at the Acropolis at the core of his career, Yanni's music has been used for original film and television scores, as well as programs such as Wide World of Sports and coverage of the Olympic Games.
The Australasian dates start in Auckland on January 12, with shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide before Yanni arrives in Perth.
The world tour kicked off in the US in April and coincided with the CD and DVD release of Yanni: Live at El Morro, Puerto Rico, the first concert performances at the World Heritage Site.Tickets to Yanni at Perth Arena go on sale Monday, October 22 from Ticketek outlets.
