A fortnight after being admitted to hospital over stress after being attacked on Twitter, media personality Charlotte Dawson made her first public appearance at the weekend at the inaugural Nickelodeon Slimefest in Sydney.

An Eastern States publication noted, however, while she appeared to be in good spirits at the event, "under the glare of photographers, she seemed slightly nervous - at times her hands were trembling."

"I've been at home for the last two weeks so it's really nice to come back to something like this," said Dawson, who had been given the OK from her mental health care professionals. She made her appearance to support Dare to be Square, an anti-bullying campaign which was promoted heavily throughout the event.

The Australia's Next Top Model judge was part of the biggest sliming of the day - the Slime Dunk - along with Richard Wilkins, newly married Brian McFadden and The Biggest Loser's Steve the Commando.
