Justin Bieber joked with UK TV host Jonathan Ross he has been approached to appear in 50 Shades of Grey.
In the show Ross joked with him that his army of female fans had been encouraged by the X-rated book, which has become an international bestseller and spawned plans for a big screen version.
Bieber then let slip: "They actually want me to be in the movie!", resulting screams from fans in the audience before he reassured them he was "just kidding."
While Bieber's fans may be excited at the thought of him appearing in the kinky flick, his girlfriend Selena Gomez might have ideas about who should appear alongside him in the role of Anastasia Steele. However Bieber is looking to create a new grown-up image for himself, telling Ross he wanted to be "taken seriously as an artist, be known for my music and not necessarily known for a flick of my hair".
