Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams has got married.

The actor, who plays Dr Jackson Avery on the hit medical drama, and his long-term partner Aryn Drake-Lee tied the knot in Los Angeles on Saturday.

They invited close friends and family to the nuptials, which were held during the evening.

"Jesse was beaming with joy throughout the entire ceremony," an insider told People. "It was the perfect night with lots of smiling, laughing and emotion. You could feel the love they have for each other. They're madly in love."

Williams and Drake-Lee have been together for five years. They started dating while Williams was working as a teacher in New York, before he found fame.

The actor has previously praised Drake-Lee for her unwavering support.

"She's been with me through all different facets of my career," he said. "She's stuck with me through thick and thick and thick and thin. We know each other in and out."
