Jack Black and his band Tenacious D look set to be heading to Australia.
The US rock outfit, comprising Black and his mate Kyle Gass, have spent the past year making music and visited our shores as the support act for Foo Fighters during their Wasted Light tour of Australia and New Zealand in November/December.
Black, above right, says he is hoping to return to Australia early next year and unleash the tracks from Tenacious D's third album The Rize of the Fenix.
He said: "We'd love to come back Down Under. We opened for the Foo Fighters and that was a lot of fun, but we didn't play any songs from our new album because it hadn't been released. Nothing has been confirmed but we'd like to come down early next year, probably around February."Black, who had a cameo in last year's The Muppets, will next appear on the big screen in the dark comedy Bernie, about a funeral director in Texas who befriends then kills a wealthy widow. The film opens on August 23.
