Alternative rock heroes Weezer will play their 1994 self-titled debut album, better known as The Blue Album, at Perth Arena on January 23 next year.
The Los Angeles quartet led by Rivers Cuomo recorded the album at New York’s legendary Electric Lady studios with Cars member and producer Ric Ocasek.
The album spawned the hit singles Undone – The Sweater Song, Buddy Holly and Say It Isn’t So, which were all accompanied by inventive videos directed by Spike Jonze.
The songs and videos propelled Weezer into the mainstream and The Blue Album went on to sell more than three million copies in the US alone.
In addition to playing their debut album from start to finish, the band will also play favourites from their eight subsequent albums.Tickets go on sale July 26 from Ticketek outlets
