Miley Cyrus "loves being a fiancee".

The 19-year-old actress got engaged to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth earlier this month and expressed that she was enjoying her new status in twitter.

She posted: "I love being a 'fiancee.'"

Previous to that Miley had written on the micro-blogging website: "Will I ever quit staring at my finger?"

She also updated her Twitter profile picture to a shot of the couple with their dog.

Liam, 22, proposed to his Last Song co-star with a 3.5 carat diamond ring from Neil Lane after dating her for three years.

Apparently he did not ask her father Billy Ray Cyrus for her hand in marriage as tradition suggests.

A friend of the actor revealed that the pair have no immediate plans to tie the knot.

The insider told Us Weekly: "They are both mature and ready for this. Miley is 19 going on 40. Right now they are enjoying being engaged. There is no rush."
