NCIS: Los Angeles, Monday, 9.30pm, Ten

The 2011-12 television season ended last week in the US and number three on the list of top 10 most watched shows for the year was NCIS and at six came NCIS: Los Angeles.

Success like that is a guarantee that there will be more action from the teams next year and probably the year after.

Both NCIS shows have been successful because they have well-balanced casts, with colourful characters.
