The White House is opening its doors in an invitation to the blues.

Jeff Beck, Mick Jagger, BB King and Keb Mo are among an A-list of artists who will perform at the White House on February 21 to celebrate blues music and recognise Black History Month.

The program, called In Performance at the White House: Red, White and Blues, will be live streamed on the White House website.

US President Barack Obama will deliver remarks at the event.

Obama and his wife, Michelle, have opened the White House to a number of "In Performance" programs that have showcased Hispanic, Broadway and country music, among others.
