Hollywood and Broadway stars Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones will hit the road for Perth in June with their star vehicle, Driving Miss Daisy.
Producer John Frost said dates at His Majesty's Theatre had been added to the play's Australian tour, which has started in Brisbane and will be in Perth from June 8 for 12 performances.
Lansbury, 87, and Jones, 82, appear with Broadway actor Boyd Gaines in Alfred Uhry's 1987 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, which was adapted into the Oscar-winning film directed by Bruce Beresford.
"It is a truly rare and exceptional opportunity for Australian audiences to see a cast of Broadway and Hollywood royalty in one of the most enduring and popular stage plays of our time," Mr Frost said.Tickets go on sale via Ticketek on March 8 but patrons can join a waiting list at daisyonstage.com.au
