Poitier working on sci-fi novel

Hollywood legend Sidney Poitier is preparing to publish his first novel at the age of 85.

The Oscar-winning actor has already released two autobiographies, but now he is working on a science-fiction book called Montaro Caine.

The title is rumoured to be a nod to his long-time friend, actor Sir Michael Caine.

"It’s sci-fi," Poitier says of the novel. "Sort of like Indiana Jones, but better!"

The actor aims to have the novel published next May, according to website Showbiz411.com.
