REVIEW: ELAINE FRY

Georges is a boy with a lot on his plate.

His family have been forced to move to a new apartment block where he is enlisted by his new friend Safer to join The Spy Club.

Together they have to monitor the suspicious activities of "Mr X", who lives on the fourth floor.

Georges is not sure about all this espionage and has crises of conscience about any illegal activities it might involve.

Additionally, bullies at his school - while calling him "gorgeous" - target him.

It is Safer's confectionery-loving sister, Candy, who points out that nobody has the right to decide who or what is cool.

A great novel about friendship, belonging and taking control of one's destiny.
