British comedian Russell Brand is returning to Australia and will perform at Perth Arena on December 2.

Brand will also tour Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney with his I Am A Walrus show.

The comedian, who was briefly married to Katy Perry, shot to fame after his role as rocker Aldous Snow in the comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

The 37-year-old hosted this year's MTV Movie Awards and has also written two books, My Booky Wook: A Memoir of Sex, Drugs and Stand-Up, and the follow up, Booky Wook 2: This Time It's Personal.
