Sydney singer Emma Hamilton heads to Perth this month for her first WA performance buoyed by a strong reception for her debut album La Musique.
American music legend Van Dyke Parkes led the positive reviews for the 2011 release of French-flavoured jazz, gypsy, folk and pop, calling it "a total triumph on so many levels".
Hamilton, back from a tour of Europe with Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel, owes her musical taste and talent to her French mother and Australian musician father.Her brother Thomas joins joins her on piano, bass and drums at the Ellington Jazz Club on September 27. Visit ellingtonjazz.com.au.
