Cartoon capers for Pharrell's birthday
P *harrell Williams *has celebrated his 41st birthday in style with a Spongebob Squarepants-themed party in New York.
The Happy star, who is set to be a coach on the next version of The Voice US, marked the milestone at Cipriani Wall Street at the weekend alongside his wife *Helen Lasichanh *and showbiz pals *Alicia Keys *, *Swizz Beatz *, *Russell Simmons *, *Chanel Iman *and *Nicky Hilton *.
Rapper *Q-Tip * was the DJ at the party, which was decorated with images of the characters from the kids' cartoon series.
A number of stars who couldn't make the bash tweeted Williams with birthday messages.
One Direction singer *Liam Payne *wrote: "Happy birthday Pharrell hope you have a great day look forward to getting back in the studio with you next time I'm in Cali."
Williams' Blurred Lines co-star *Robin Thicke *added: "Wishing Pharrell a very Happy birthday."
*And *Justin Timberlake *tweeted: "Happy Bday to my brother, Pharrell. Been killing the game forever! And, you still look younger than the rest of us."
