Twilight star flouts Aussie law

Robert Pattinson could get hit with a fine after the Twilight star was photographed riding a bike in Adelaide without a helmet.

South Australia's bike laws clearly state riders must wear "an approved bicycle helmet that is properly adjusted and securely fastened."

However, the photo, which appeared in the Adelaide Advertiser on Wednesday, shows R-Patz with only a backwards-facing baseball cap on his head.

He may have been inspired by the Tour Down Under, which raced around South Australia, but looked to be more relaxed than the competitors, eschewing lycra for shorts, T-shirt and sneakers.
