Lily Allen mistook gas for labour pains.
The Not Fair hitmaker - who has 13-month-old daughter Ethel with husband Sam Cooper - is due to give birth to her second child in the coming weeks, and after feeling uncomfortable sensations, she felt sure the baby's arrival was imminent - only for her pain to go when she broke wind.
She tweeted: "I thought I was in labour but I just needed to fart."
The 27-year-old star is hoping her baby arrives soon and is looking forward to spending the majority of 2013 not carrying a baby in her stomach.
She wrote on New Year's Eve: "2013 is gonna be big. I'm only planning on spending a few days of it pregnant. Unlike the last 3 years (sic)."
Allen - who tragically lost a baby when six months pregnant in November 2010 - also admitted she was finding the festive period incredibly stressful.She tweeted: "End of my tether. #christmas #family #f***ingpregnant #aaaarrrrggggghhhhh (sic)."
