Johnny Ruffo's hectic schedule means he probably won't be able to make it back to Perth for Christmas.
Ruffo, left, told AAA Weekend his schedule was jam-packed at the moment, including a performance at the annual Carols in the Domain in Sydney at the weekend.
"If I can't be there, I am going to send Christmas presents back," he said.
"I have bought presents for my mum, my brother, my sister and my dad, and if I can't make it back, which is likely, I will have to express post their gifts.
"It is hard. To come back to Perth I need at least four days off. If I get two days off, I just won't get to spend any time there.
"My Christmas wish list is to get a day off."
After a huge 2012, which saw him release his platinum debut single On Top and win Dancing with the Stars, the Perth-born-and-raised performer said he had even greater ambitions for next year.
"I have got some plans to head over to the (United) States early next year for a few little bits and pieces," he said.
"I am going to be doing a few things in LA - recording and acting."
After finishing filming his first acting role on Home and Away on Friday, Ruffo said music was still his first love.
"If I had to pick one or the other I would probably pick singing and dancing, but I do love being on screen. I can't get my head off the television box," he said.
Despite multiple romance rumours, including linking the Cleo Bachelor of the Year runner-up to Dannii Minogue and Home and Away co-star Samara Weaving, Ruffo said he was just too busy for a relationship.
"They are all rumours. I wish half of them were true," he laughed.
"It is part of being in this industry - you have to put up with that."'The West Australian' is a trademark of West Australian Newspapers Limited 2013.
