Russell Crowe has slammed reports he has embarked on a new romance with Billy Joel's ex-wife Katie Lee, insisting he is dedicated to keeping his family together.
After an article in the New York Post suggested Crowe had moved on from Danielle Spencer and into the arms of TV chef Lee, the Aussie actor has slammed the reports in a new Twitter post, in which he also vowed to get his personal life back on track.
Crowe, who is filming Winter's Tale, in New York, wrote: "As soon as I finish this job & can get home, my priority is to try to bring my family back together. These latest reports are false & cruel."
The Gladiator star has spent a large part of this year on film sets far from Sydney and the heavy workload has allegedly taken its toll on his personal life, causing a split from his wife in October.
Neither Crowe nor Spencer, who have two young sons, Charlie and Tennyson, has directly addressed the break-up claims but the actor posted a telling tweet online in November, revealing he regretted taking on so many jobs."Starting on another film tomorrow. I need to go home & be with my children," he wrote.
