It looks like there is a hot new romance happening on the set of Home and Away.

Perth's Johnny Ruffo, who recently joined the Seven soap opera, is reportedly dating long-time cast member Samara Weaving.

News Limited reported at the weekend that the romance is said to be in its early days.

X Factor host Luke Jacobz added fuel to the story by tweeting at the weekend: "Hearing RUMOURS that @JohnnyRuffo is with @Sweaving - fact or fiction?"

Weaving, who recently split from fellow cast member Axle Whitehead, declined to comment when asked about the budding relationship when she stepped out at Derby Day in Melbourne at the weekend.

Ruffo hasn't had a girlfriend since he ended his three-year relationship with Sara Ninkovich two years ago.
