Nathan Morris was terrified leading up to his surprise return to the Big Brother house this week.
It has been close to a decade since the former Big Brother housemate turned Nova 93.7 breakfast host first set foot in the Dream World residence. Morris admitted he began to experience the same anxiety he was overcome with when he first entered the house for season two of the series, which previously aired on Ten.
"I was absolutely terrified," he told AAA yesterday, just moments after being doused with water by one of the current Big Brother housemates. "It was the same feeling I had when I first got ready to go into the house, like 'Oh my God I'm going to be on TV'."
Morris - along with a contingent of other Big Brother alumni, including Reggie Bird (winner of series three), Peter Timbs (from series one), and series four contestants Ryan "Fitzy" Fitzgerald and Trevor Butler (who took home $1 million after winning) - entered the house as an "unwelcome" guest.
The task set for the housemates this week was to completely ignore them - or else they would fail.
Determined to cause chaos, Morris said his first attempt at sabotaging the mission was to approach British beautician Layla Subritzky, who would not have seen the previous Big Brother series. "When I walked in, I started talking to Layla because I knew that being British she wouldn't know who we were," he laughed.
While he hinted at getting up to a few sneaky shenanigans during his brief visit, including pranking housemate Stacey Wren in the pool, Morris has already made up his mind on which of the housemates he thinks will win. "Definitely Michael (Beveridge)," he said. "He's got to be the smartest housemate I've ever seen, he's very strategic."The episode featuring Morris and the other former Big Brother contestants airs today at 7pm on Nine/WIN.
