He may have received 50 per cent of the public vote to save him from eviction a week ago, but the tables were turned on Ray Baxter when he became the fourth housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house last night.
In his second week of being up for nomination, the Brisbane vet received only 26 per cent of the save vote this time around.
Fellow nominee veteran Estelle Landy was close behind on 26 per cent, while first-timer Angie Murray had the majority of the save vote with 45 per cent.
Baxter, right, was the last housemate to initially enter the house on day two and soon after began to stir the pot when he complained about the lack of chocolate milk and then insulted Big Brother.
The gym junkie also clashed with the housemates, who labelled him competitive and nicknamed him Tom Cruise for his intensity.
Post-eviction, Baxter, 25, told host Sonia Kruger he knew he was not the favourite person in the house.
"I think I rubbed some people the wrong way but it was all part of the game," he said.
However, Baxter added he thought the housemates all secretly had their eyes on the prize.
"I think everyone's playing to win, they're all just kidding themselves - $250,000 is great," he said.
This week a love triangle emerged when the first intruder for 2012 entered the house. Vegetarian bombshell Ava David was immediately paired up with ladies man Josh Moore by Big Brother, though Moore already was the object of affection for both Landy and Murray. In today's episode, which will air at 7pm on Nine/ WIN, a second intruder, a male, will enter the house.
