George Clooney has dismissed reports suggesting he's planning to sell his Lake Como retreat in Italy.

Italian media outlets reported the movie star was moving out because his Villa Oleandra holiday home has become a mecca for the paparazzi, but the actor has moved swiftly to end the speculation.

Clooney's longtime publicist, Stan Rosenfield, tells The Hollywood Reporter the story is bogus.

The movie star fell in love with the villa during a motorcycle trek through the Alps and bought it in 2002.

He regularly entertains his girlfriends and famous friends at the lakeside mansion.
