He's come a long way since Baywatch but David Hasselhoff is keen to show Australians he's still got star power.

The Hoff failed to impress in the Australian version of Celebrity Apprentice when he quit the show abruptly in April citing "personal reasons".

But now the Knight Rider star is keen to show Aussies why the Germans think he's so great, with a series of singing gigs around the nation in 2013.

The actor had helped raise more than $500,000 for charity when he withdrew from Celebrity Apprentice, announcing to the show's host and contestants: "It's not business related, it is a personal commitment that I made to my family and it involves honour."

Hasselhoff also said he felt awful about leaving but was "very proud" to be a part of the show.

He will perform at Capitol on February 17.
