Justin Bieber fever explodes on Australian TV today. The teen pop sensation was to perform three songs in his only live appearance this morning on Seven's Sunrise.
Bieber will also perform a medley of hits on the Australia's Got Talent grand final tonight, which was filmed in Melbourne on Monday, where a teenage fan, Amilia Radevska, reportedly climbed on to the stage to get near the 18-year-old.
Radevska managed to evade security guards and rushed in front of the cameras while the Canadian heart-throb was giving a post- performance interview to host Grant Denyer.
Yesterday, Bieber began his promo duties with a carefully vetted radio interview with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O. The pair were warned against quizzing him about his romance with Selena Gomez, who has joined him on his whirlwind trip Down Under, or his recent run-in with a paparazzi snapper.
But unlike a recent interview in the US, when Bieber hung up on the presenter over a joke about his mother, she was not off limits.
Following an on-air phone call in which a bemused Pattie Mallette told her son she missed him, Bieber gushed to Jackie O and Sandilands about his "young mum" who had him when she was 18. "She's amazing - I was definitely an accident, it's great my mum is super young," he said."She's a friend and a mum, she's always been really strict, she still keeps me in line."
