Demi Moore is apparently feeling "embarrassed" by her recent hospitalisation.
The 49-year-old Hollywood star was rushed to get medical help on January 23 and is seeking treatment for her issues.
But a source has told People magazine that the mother-of-three is struggling with her problems being so public.
Moore has had a traumatic few months stemming from the breakdown of her marriage to Ashton Kutcher and reports that he cheated on her with Sara Leal on their six-year wedding anniversary.
"Ego-wise, this is the worst thing that could happen to Demi," the insider said.
"Because she is such a private person. She's embarrassed."
But Moore's troubles "can be an opportunity, a blessing, and not a curse," the source added.
"The right intervention happened in her life. From a spiritual sense, it is a gift. She has a real opportunity to grow from it. She has to take responsibility for her life," the insider claimed.
