MACA wins $45m contract extension

UPDATE 1.45pm: Mining contractor MACA says it has won a $45 million contract extension for Focus Minerals' Laverton gold project.

The win means MACA will continue to provide drilling and blasting, load and haul services at Laverton until May 2014.

MACA shares closed up three cents, or 1.45 per cent, at $2.10.
