Airbus says global airlines will need new planes worth $US3.5 trillion ($A3.29 trillion) through to 2030, with more than a third of that demand coming from Asia.
Airbus chief executive Tom Enders said at a news conference in Singapore that the aviation industry will require 27,800 new planes between 2010 and 2030.
Enders said Asia will likely take delivery of about 9370 new planes worth $US1.3 trillion ($A1.22 trillion).
France-based Airbus is the world's largest aircraft manufacturer.
