Former Nomad Building Solutions managing director Michael Bourke has been named executive general manager of operations of Perth-based, Singapore listed mining contractor AGC AusGroup.

The former Iluka and Emeco executive joined AusGroup in October last year as acting general manager of fabrication after resigning from Nomad suddenly in March.

AGC chief operating officer and managing director Laurie Barlow said the company's Kwinana and Singapore operations would report to Mr Bourke, as he sought to boost the company's exposure to the resources industry, particularly the booming oil and gas sector.
