Dunsborough's favourite ice cream maker, Simmo’s, is set to cater to more holidaymakers in WA, with a new store open on Rottnest Island.

The new Simmo’s Rottnest is in the Thompsons Bay Settlement precinct at the former Red Rooster site.

The site has had major redevelopment ahead of the store’s opening, including construction of a new alfresco deck area offering improved amenities for island visitors wanting to enjoy a scoop.

Founder Garth Simpson said Simmo’s was a natural fit for Rottnest.

“Simmo’s has become a well-known brand and destination for families down south,” he said.

“The distinctly relaxed, fun and playful Simmo’s Ice cream is synonymous with the informal Rottnest Island holiday environment and gives another destination for families.”
