UPDATE 2.10pm: MACA says it has won two contracts for Atlas Iron's Abydos iron ore project collectively worth about $200 million over three years.
Under a mining services contract, MACA will provide civil infrastructure works and open pit mining services including drilling and blasting, and loading and hauling from early next month.
Under a separate crushing contract, MACA will provide crushing and screening of ore from June next year.
MACA is already providing mining and crushing services to Atlas at its Pardoo mine and has also recently mobilised to the company's Mt Dove mine where it is providing similar services.
MACA operations director Geoff Baker said MACA had been awarded $600 million in new and extended works over the past six months and in excess of $450 million over the past fortnight, taking its order book to more than $1.5 billion, the highest in the company's history.
