Monadelphous wins $100m Qld contract

Monadelphous says it has won a $100 million contract to build a coal handling plant for BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance's Caval Ridge project in Queensland.

The contract involves civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical and instrumentation works for the plant near Rockhampton.

Work will begin immediately and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of the 2013 calendar year.

Mondadelphous shares were off 19 cents to $20.63 at 9.50am.
