Emmerson soars on NT hits

Shares in Emmerson Resources soared after the company announced more high-grade gold hits at its Tennant Creek copper-gold field in the Northern Territory.

The company reported grades of up to 93.7 grams gold per tonne from its recent drilling

Emmerson managing director Rob Bills said the drilling strongly supported the concept that the 8km long Gecko Structural corridor could host multiple, significant, gold and copper-gold resources.

The recent drilling follows recently reported results showing high-grade copper and bismuth mineralisation at Monitor and Goanna, which lie 2.5km apart.

Emmerson said the Monitor mineralisation was open in all directions with potential to extend the discovery within the Gecko corridor, between Monitor and Goanna.

The company said drilling would continue to target copper-gold discoveries at both Monitor and Goanna.

Emmerson shares were up seven cents, or 58.33 per cent, to 19 cents at 10.05am after hitting an earlier peak of 22.5 cents.
